Chicago...
Just spent a nice weekend in Chicago. Even though this is their off-season, it was still busy. The trolley tour is a great way to start your journey and become oriented with the city. You have on/off privileges and can take in some of the sites, grab lunch, take pictures and not have to get a cab between each stop. Big recommendation for visiting any of the sites - BUY TICKETS IN ADVANCE! Believe me when I say it's no fun to wait outside in line in Chicago in February! For those active travelers, be sure to take advantage of the bike & running path along Lake Shore Drive...it goes for miles and miles.

The St. Louis Zoo...I've heard some mixed reviews lately, so I had to see for myself. We visited on the hottest day of the year (low crowds!) and had a great experience. There was plenty of shade and lots of animals. Highlights were the giraffes, lemurs and the interactive stingray experience. It's definitely worth the trip!
